Gift tags & a grateful heart

"For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

If you take a moment to really think about what
you're thankful for, you realize nothing is too small
to go by unnoticed... a breath, the beating of your heart...
Then there are bigger, broader things, like your family
and their health, your home, your husband, children...
everything and everyone is a blessing.

In everything give thanks...
give thanks with a grateful heart.

~1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~

I'm thankful you're here today!  Hope you can
put these gift tags to good use!  Here are the
sources for free graphics used :

"Not what we say about our blessings,
but how we use them, is the true measure
of our thanksgiving."

  1. Beautiful tags, Megan!

I just had to leave a comment because I also LOVE your message about thankfulness. I want to start my first art journal (although I'm a little intimidated to actually get started) and thought my theme would be things I'm thankful for. I'm an average person with an average life but it's my dream life. I think a lot of it has to do with perspective, with being thankful for all the details, no matter how small. :-)

Have a blessed day ~ and thank you so much for the link back to my blog.

Oh the tags are just so great and sure will enjoy using them. Loved reading about being thankful for everything in our lives not only the big things but the small ones as well. What a beautiful message that was. Thank you so much for sharing all your creations and words.

  6. I have been meaning to leave a comment for awhile, but life's business takes over and that is sad! Your blog and all it's sentiments are truly motivational. You have such a positive view on life that is contagious and spreads to all your readers, I am sure. Thanks so much for reminding us to be truly thankful for every little thing in our life. My x-husband was involved in a swimming accident and is now a quadriplegic. We just never know what each day holds in store, so we must take each day as a gift to be thankful for, experiencing life to the fullest and being grateful for each sunrise and sunset. I have to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart...YOU are a gift to all of us!!!!

  17. Megan, your images are beautiful! What software do you use to layer the images. I have collected postcards for 20 years and I would like to try it. Can I share some images with you? Thanks

  18. I've recently been inspired by all you beautiful ladies out there to learn to create Vintage/Junk Journals for myself personally and to pass along as gift to friends and family. I want to give my THANKS for the blessings of these lovely printables to begin my journey. I will pass along the blessings of my creations to others as you have passed on your works. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Your freebies are greatfully appreciated!
