Vintage Garden Journal

"Where you have a plot of land,
however small, plant a garden.
Staying close to the soil is good
for the soul."

~ Spencer W. Kimball ~

Have you ever kept a garden journal?
I started one several years ago... and come across it every once in awhile.  It's fun to flip through and think about how my garden, and I through tending it, have grown!

Here are the free sources
for my artwork:

*Vintage Feedsacks*
(unsure of copyright information,
so personal use recommended)

*Lilac & Lavender*

*The Graphics Fairy*

*Dafont.com*
*Deviant Art ~ Sagawa*
I appreciate your visit!

  1. I've never kept one, sounds like a good idea! Nice pages.

  2. I've tried to keep some sort of "record" of my garden, but would really like to do a better job of it. Maybe if I use one of your pretty graphics and make a journal I'd have a better chance of finding it to write in it. I'm a lot on the disorganized side! Thanks!♥♫

  3. I don't keep any kind of journal, except for the pictures we'd take as our trees got bigger etc... we're kind of like Johnny Appleseed. We've lived in a number of places over the years and have planted numerous trees/shrubs.
I have a friend who has beautiful flower beds and I think I'll make something for her from these. Thanks so much.

  5. Megan, I like your quote from Kimball in staying close to the soil. I believe that the kinship we establish with the soil was pre-ordained by God. It brings such a peace to my heart when I attend to my gardens. August

  8. Beautiful page, will have to make a journal for my Sister and my BFF, both are avid gardners...and have green thumbs.

  10. Thank you, Megan! These are much appreciated! I do have a garden journal, but it isn't anything as pretty as these papers so I may just have to use these for next year's garden instead of the boring records I have now.
