The Sweetest Angel

"The golden moments
in the stream of life rush past us and
we see nothing but sand; the angels come
to visit us, and we only know them
when they are gone."

 ~ George Elliot ~

I found this little angel on The Graphics Fairy's site.
Immediately I fell in love with her sweet innocence...
but it was what was written on the back of the
original card that tugged at my heartstrings:

"To Helen from Grandma"

My Grandma Leasure's name
was Helen... and she was an angel to me.
We shared many "golden moments,"
and although she's been gone
for many years now... I'm not sad.
I can smile because I know someday
we'll see each other again!
Here are links to the free sources I used
to make these sweetest angel tags:

*The Graphics Fairy*

*Vintage Ephemera*

*Altered Bits*

We all have angels...
who are yours?

  4. I finally have some time to make some of your lovely tags because it is spring break, but with rain/snow and cold weather I'm inside cleaning and getting ready to 'play'. Thank you for being so generous and sharing your wonderful talent with people like me who know pretty when they see it, but don't have a clue how to go about making anything on the computer! Grandmas in heaven must have so much in common! I look forward to seeing mine again, too.♥♫

  7. What a find on the card. Thank you for sharing about your grandmother Megan. I too am looking forward to seeing my grandma Anna (Libra) Thurmer. I still remember waking up on the farm with her 10 ton patchwork blanket on me, I was toasty and warm. The first thing I smelled was her bacon and eggs frying over her corncob/wood stove. Hope to wake up in heaven on my first day under her homemade blanket and smelling her wonderful breakfast with grandma smiling at me with her oh so gentle smile.
