When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
~ Proverbs 31:21 ~
"White...is not a mere absence of colour; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black...God paints in many colours; but He never paints so gorgeously... as when He paints in white."
~ G. K. Chesterton ~
I made the image at the top by combining 2 images from www.morguefile.com ~ found the black bird image there as well:

This is beautiful! A powerful devotional in moments. Isn't the red simply stunning against the white. No wonder God drew our eyes to the comparison in Isa., and I'm not sure if I've ever said this but that black-bird is beautiful too:)
ReplyDeleteThank-you for your comments this morning. I like the blue back-ground for winter too. We had a spectacular sunrise...a pool of red on the horizon, but as the sun broke through, a blanket of November gray quickly swallowed it:) I'm glad we have a higher 'Son-shine' and I'm glad for the sunshine of friends like you. Now I want to re-read your 'aprons' post! That poem is my mother to a 'T'!!!
Have a week filled with Son-shine,
God bless
wonderful thoughts
