Jars of Clay

Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

- Genesis 2:7

But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand.

- Isaiah 64:8

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
- 2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT

What we are is God's gift to us.
What we become is our gift to God.

  2. Thank you Janet! This post stemmed from a dream I had toward that morning... all I could remember were ancient clay jars/pots. I love the flow of the verses and pictures :) Glad you like the profile pic too... one of the few pictures of me dressed up... seems like these days I'm usually the picture taker, instead of getting my picture taken :)
