Children & Spring Chicks

Yesterday the twig was brown & bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!

Last year, I found
"The Mother book," c. 1928*
for $1 at a local antique store.
The advice
is a little dated, but
the images are still just as adorable!

*Since the booklet is copyrighted
after 1923, these baby images and
stationery pages are for your
personal use only.

Thank you!

An Irish Prayer

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

Crowned with Roses

Clear was the heaven
and blue, and May, with her cap
crowned with roses, stood in her
holiday dress in the fields, and
the wind and the brooklet
murmured gladness & peace,
God's-peace!

~ Henry W. Longfellow ~

The roses are from
the cover of a book
featuring Longfellow's poetry, from my
collection. I chose to leave the worn areas.
These roses aged beautifully!

The Lasting Perfume

"Pleasure is the
flower that passes;
remembrance, the
lasting perfume."

~ Jean de Boufflers ~

I created 8 coordinating printable
scrapbook papers for you! All are 8" x 8",
and are free for your personal use.

Flowers pictured in the
Victorian postcard: forget-me-not,
which symbolized true love; and
lily-of-the valleyfor sweetness,
humility, returning happiness, and
trustworthiness. Beautiful
combination, wouldn't you agree?
