Clear was the heaven
and blue, and May, with her cap
crowned with roses, stood in her
holiday dress in the fields, and
the wind and the brooklet
murmured gladness & peace,
God's-peace!
~ Henry W. Longfellow ~
The roses are from the cover of a book
featuring Longfellow's poetry, from my
collection. I chose to leave the worn areas.
These roses aged beautifully!

DeleteI just absolutely love everything about this, and thank you for introducing me to all these wonderful poems. Dear Meagan, I hope I am not too forward, but I am just about to start a new challenge blog and am searching for a suitable image for the banner and the badges. Love Dragonflies, my colour scheme is blues and greens. I would be happy to pay for your contribution, do you have anything along those lines? I have yet to find a beautiful coloured vintage looking dragonfly, sigh.
