Roses of Yesterday

“I feel as if
I had opened a book
and found roses of yesterday
sweet and fragrant,
between its leaves.”

    1. Thank you Lucy!! I took some clover from Olivia's bouquet and pressed it in an old book... then I showed her what I did and she was fascinated by it ~ I'd like to collect more flowers and leaves together... especially this summer :) That quote is beautiful, isn't it? I've come across many quotes by L.M. Montgomery that I love :)

    1. I create my artwork, then go out in search of a quote or verse to accompany it... part of the fun, I admit :) Here are a few of my favorite sites...

      http://www.quotegarden.com/
      http://www.gardendigest.com/quotes.htm
      http://www.goodreads.com/quotes
      http://www.openbible.info/topics/

Part of the challenge is knowing where to look, the other is knowing what category you'd like to delve into... but it's fun reading all the same!

Thanks for asking :) If I find any more really great sites, I'll let you know!

    1. Thank you... my wedding bouquet was made up of roses in yellows and peachy-pinks, and now we grow roses in our garden in those colors... seems fitting, doesn't it? Happy you liked everything :)

  8. Hi Megan, Me again just was thinking how cool it would be to have the quotes printed on the round tags and the poetry verses on the other tags and labels you have created. Would make for a great collection for a mini album to have all of those on hand in one little album to admire the artwork and the quotes and verses. Just a thought and thanks so much for sharing your favoirte quote sites too.
